BRAND DESIGN | PACKAGING DESIGN

Amber House are a long-standing client of ours, and came to us with a brief to launch their new line of Root Cover-up and Eyebrow Defining Powder for greying and thinning hair. They needed a strong brand positioning, name, logo and packaging design that could help them make an impression amongst their bigger rivals.

THE STRATEGY

With an initial sales strategy built around airplane sales, we knew we needed to help them capture that old school glamour that used to be associated with flying. The packaging needed to look chic, sophisticated and aspirational, with that premium sheen you associate with top-end cosmetics and beauty packaging design.

THE CREATIVE

For style references, we looked back to classic Vogue-era. Simple and clean, but also striking and elegant. We chose stripped-back colour palettes for each of the products, with smart geometric shapes giving the packaging a timeless, professional look. Gold spot varnish just helped lift everything, with a light- (and eye-) catching gloss you associate with Golden Era Hollywood.

THE OUTCOME

After a successful airline launch, sales of Claritude Colour Rapide took off online, with many retailers reporting much higher sales than its better-known and more-established competitors.
