Client: Jon Richard. Brief: Designers were asked to create stylish packaging designs for their Debenhams concessions. Solution: Their four key brands, Bridal, Jon Richard, Mood and Simply Silver, are tailored to cover a broad market. Flipflop design were commissioned to design jewellery gift packaging appealing to each consumer and complimenting the various jewellery styles within the ranges. On trend bold but feminine design patterns were used throughout and key colours link the brands together.

Client: M&S. Brief: Mix modern design influences for an updated country look. Solution: Making the most of the design trend for decorative details; stylised graphics were mixed with small geometrical design elements to balance bold areas of pattern. The layering of metallics and foil add depth and desirability to the autumnal design, making it contemporary yet appealing to a broad age spectrum.

Client: M&S. Brief: Design required for the launch of a range of traditional games intended for after dinner entertainment. Solution: Flipflop design used cheeky wordplay to appeal to one's naughty nature. Contents are clearly defined by stylish photography in sepia to add sophistication to the retail packaging. Random set typography enhances the playfulness of the range and draws attention to its suggestive language.

Branding, Textile and Packaging Design

Client: M&S. Brief: Concoct traditional rustic textile and packaging design to accompany existing interstock. Solution: Designers were influenced by rural floral elements, a primary textile design was illustrated in various shades of blue. A second, delicate and subtler print was created to offset the bold primary graphic and to avoid an excess of one design. For the gift packaging, both design pattern were translated on to a high gloss board giving the impression of antique china.
